Getty Images Photographers Recognized at 2023 World Sports Photography Awards

New York – August 10, 2023: Getty Images (NYSE: GETY) , a preeminent global visual content creator and marketplace, has taken home 15 prizes at the World Sports Photography Awards, including staff photographers, Patrick Smith, who took home gold in the Overall Winners 2023 and Golf categories and Richard Heathcote in the Venues & Views category.
 
In addition, several Getty Images staff photographers from around the globe were honored across a variety of categories, including:  
  • Bruce Bennett: awarded silver in Ice Hockey. 
  • Shaun Botterill: awarded special merit in Gymnastics. 
  • Steph Chambers: awarded special merit in Ice Hockey. 
  • James Chance: awarded special merit in Boxing. 
  • Sean M. Haffey: awarded special merit in American Football. 
  • Alexander Hassenstein: awarded special merit in Athletics. 
  • Richard Heathcote: awarded gold in Venues & Views; special merit in Aquatic. 
  • Clive Rose: awarded special merit in Aquatic. 
  • Patrick Smith: awarded gold in Overall Winners 2023 and Golf; special merit in Golf. 
  • Cameron Spencer: awarded silver in Winter Sports. 
  • Matthew Stockman: awarded bronze in American Football. 
  • Lintao Zhang: awarded special merit in Winter Sports.
