London – 4 April 2025: Getty Images (NYSE: GETY), a preeminent global visual content creator and marketplace, celebrates the outstanding achievements of its editorial photographers at the 2024 UK Picture Editors’ Guild (PEG) Awards, Britain’s most prestigious press photojournalism awards.
Getty Images photographers were recognised across multiple categories. Chris Furlong won News Photographer of the Year for his portfolio of news coverage from 2024, including the G7 Summit and 80th anniversary of D‑Day events, and was named winner of Essay Photographer of the Year for his extensive work covering the aftermath of the 2024 Southport stabbings and anti‑migration protests. Chris was also Commended in the Arts and Entertainment Photographer of the Year category.
In addition, Chris Jackson was awarded Royal Photographer of the Year for his work documenting the Royal Family in 2024, including on state visits to Samoa, South Africa and Jersey and at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
