London – 5 May 2023: Getty Images (NYSE:GETY), a preeminent global visual content creator and marketplace, has announced the addition of the prestigious Hugo Burnand archive to its already industry‑leading archival offering.
One of the world’s leading portrait photographers, Burnand will be shooting the official portraits at the upcoming Coronation. These images will be available to license exclusively via Contour by Getty Images after the handout period.
Burnand is the only portrait photographer with a Royal Warrant given by HRH Prince of Wales in the United Kingdom. His previous subjects include the Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, Bill Clinton, President Mikhail Gorbachev, Baroness Thatcher, Lucian Freud, Victoria Beckham and Michael Jackson. In 2005 Burnand photographed the wedding of HRH Prince of Wales to Camilla Parker‑Bowles, and in 2011 he photographed the wedding of HRH Prince William to Catherine Middleton. Burnand was also commissioned to take the official portrait of King Charles, to mark his 70th birthday.
