London – 24 October 2023: Getty Images, a preeminent global visual content creator and marketplace, celebrates the success of its editorial photographers at the 2023 UK Picture Editors’ Guild Awards (UKPEG). Formed in 1977, UKPEG is the country’s most prestigious annual press photography awards, recognising some of the most moving visuals from the preceding year.
Chris Furlong took home the top prize of Press Photographer of the Year for the second consecutive year, as well as for News Photographer of the Year, and Gareth Cattermole was awarded Portrait Photographer of the Year.
