London – 15 July 2025: Getty Images (NYSE: GETY), a preeminent global visual content creator and marketplace, today announced a new partnership with the British Film Institute (BFI), that will see Getty Images serve as the Official Photography Partner of BFI events, including at BFI Southbank and BFI iMAX.

Getty Images’ award‑winning entertainment photographers will deliver high‑quality, creative imagery to the BFI and its commercial partners from events hosted at BFI Southbank and BFI iMAX in near real‑time. This includes red carpet premieres, film screenings, stunning portraiture and candid behind‑the‑scenes imagery from exclusive positions where available.

“We are proud to build on our longstanding relationship with BFI which we have invested in for over a decade,” said Lisa Marie Rae, Senior Director of Entertainment at Getty Images. “This is a testament to the trust the BFI have placed in our photographers, who relish the opportunity to showcase their creativity at major events, and our expertise to deliver a breadth of imagery that empower the BFI and its partners to create impactful stories of their own.”

The official designation builds on a decade of Getty Images serving as the Official Photographic Partner of the BFI London Film Festival, taking place on 8 – 19 October 2025. As well as its photographic talent, Getty Images will also provide the BFI with an end‑to‑end imagery solution via its industry‑leading distribution platform and media management offering. All content will be made available exclusively through gettyimages.com

Judy Wells, Director Press & PR at the British Film Institute, comments, “Impactful photography is fundamental to how successfully we publicise and keep our record of BFI events and incredible talent, not only during the BFI London Film Festival, but year‑round at BFI Southbank and BFI IMAX. Getty’s photographers always deliver so we are delighted to have this relationship formalised and continue to enjoy their professionalism and stunning imagery from every angle.”

In addition to the partnership with the BFI, Getty Images content creators are at every major entertainment event globally, from awards ceremonies to fashion weeks to film festivals, covering 70,000 entertainment events a year and partnering with major brands on creative content strategy.
